MMMM: Making things happen, slow change, power of no and Easter vibes

Things to make you go MMMM on Thursday

by Darien J

"To inspire and encourage electronic artists to make, manage and market music every day."

3 thoughts on making, managing and marketing your music and one on mine.

3 for you:

“There are people who make things happen,

there are people who watch things happen,

and there are people who wonder what happened.” — Jim Lovell, astronaut

"Change is not a bolt of lightning that arrives with a zap. It is a bridge built brick by brick, every day, with sweat and humility and slips. It is hard work, and slow work, but it can be thrilling to watch it take shape." - Sarah Hepola, author and recovering alcoholic

“Elegance is the ability to present yourself to the world stripped down to the real you. Without subterfuge. When you say no, you are refusing to be anything other than who you are, or to look or seem any way other than your authentic being. You say no to pretending you are someone other than who you are.” - David Leddick, author of I’m Not For Everyone, Neither Are You.

1 from me

The Easter Bank Holiday weekend was a little bit epic here in Brighton.

I hosted The Social Shift All-Good Friday Party at Block with some awesome guest DJs (Zoe Vice, Florence and Nadia).

We kicked off at 2pm and went through to well past ten (would have gone on longer but we had gigs the next day).

Here’s the last couple of hours from me that I put together after the event. You can stream on Mixcloud or Soundcloud where the download is available too.

Until next week
