Mmmm... Stretching, temperament, recruiting and collaboration

Things to make you go Mmmm…

by Darien J

"To encourage creativity by sharing more inspiration than any electronic artist.”

Three thoughts for your creativity and one on mine.

3 for you:

Reach out.

"You can cold email nearly anyone, but nearly everyone overlooks how powerful it can be.

Sending one email each week that feels like a stretch can change your life. Will you get turned down? Sure, most of the time. But you only need one to pay off for something amazing to happen.

Take your time, write a thoughtful message, and muster the courage to press Send." - James Clear

Be nice.

"Be friendly to those who enjoy your work and friendlier to those who attack it." - David Leggett

Build your team.

“Paying someone a lot of money and asking them to come up with great ideas ensures very little. However, pulling together a team of like-minded people and giving them a cause to pursue ensures a greater sense of teamwork and camaraderie.” - Simon Sinek

1 from me

Find inspiration in others.

“In the creative world, it's easy to view others as competition. We often measure our progress against theirs, feeling pressure to keep up or stand out. But what if, instead, we saw others as a source of inspiration rather than rivals?

Collaboration opens doors that competition can’t. When we work with others, we combine strengths, share perspectives, and push boundaries together. Instead of competing for the same spotlight, we create something new that neither could have done alone.

So, next time you feel the urge to compete, try to collaborate instead. Find inspiration in what others are doing, and see how you can grow together. By lifting each other up, we all rise higher.

Stay open, stay inspired, and keep creating.”
