Every Thursday in 2021 I am releasing a track and the day after (today) I let the gang have access to stream and download next week’s track
I decided to take on this challenge because for the last few years I have been focusing on developing my own sound
Finally it’s got to a point where I can consistently produce music that is in a particular style
I call it deep atmospheric club music
It’s the kind of tunes I’d like to hear on a night out with close friends in the dark back room of one of the bigger clubs like Turnmills or The Cross back in the day

What seems to be happening now though is that every DJ wants to be a superstar
But there can only be a minority that will make it to the dizzy heights of fame
Playing in front of thousands at massive festivals like Tomorrowland or Ultra
To get there you need to appeal to the masses and that’s just not for me
I want to be in a dark room with a few hundred like-minded people having the best night of my life
That’s what clubbing has always been about for me
I’ve been to a few big festivals but spent the entire time looking for the best place to settle and get my groove on
Not stand in the middle of thousands of people taking selfies and staring at a stage
When I first used to go out back in the early 90s you didn’t even know where the DJ was.
Part of the fun was wandering around trying to figure out where the records were actually being played from
I would go whole nights and never manage to figure it out
So that’s what I’d like to do again
Find a great space, get some good people together and have an amazing night dancing
To deep atmospheric club music
Hopefully, it won’t be too long before we can make that happen again
Until then why put on some tunes
Close you eyes
And imagine what a great night we’re going to have
I’ll be the one wandering aimlessly looking for the DJ booth
