Travelling and Stimming

I’ve not really travelled that much in my life.

I’ve been to a few countries for holidays and was lucky enough to DJ in a few too.

I travelled to Germany once to DJ in the oldest Techno club in the country and was supported by Stimming playing live.

A nice thing to put on my CV for sure.

Back then though he wasn’t that well known.

The promoter thought it was better to have me (a DJ from London at the time) higher on the bill than a native German.

His name wasn’t even listed.

The record label Diynamic was instead.

I had an excellent chat with him that night about music and creativity in general.

I was so interested in finding out about the equipment he was using in the studio.

Thinking that would be the answer to my music production dreams.

Things are very different now of course.

I’ve come to realise it’s not what you are using that is important.

It’s how you use it and the process you have in place to make that a continual and regular habit.
